About RCC‍ ‍

We're Ready to Work With You.

River City Capital is Memphis' community development finance platform — a mission-driven institution built to accelerate shared prosperity and neighborhood revitalization through staged capital and strategic partnership.

A group of three smiling people sitting at a conference table in an office. The man on the left is holding colorful flyers, the woman in the middle is writing on a paper, and the woman on the right is smiling. The table has bottles of water, a basket of snacks, and papers. A large screen behind them displays a photo of a man with the text 'Welcome Meet Our Team Ron Brooks.'

Our Mission

Accelerating Shared Prosperity in Memphis

River City Capital launched in November 2010 as an affiliate of Community LIFT. We are a local Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

CDFIs expand access to small business capital, credit, and technical assistance in underserved and previously disinvested communities. We lead the way in the Memphis–Shelby County area with a neighborhood-level economic development approach that goes far beyond conventional lending.

We are more than a lender. We are a community development finance platform and fund manager — helping entrepreneurs and emerging developers prove, build, scale, and sustain through staged capital, proof-of-performance lending, and strategic ecosystem partnerships.

Our work creates jobs, reduces commercial blight, circulates more dollars locally, and builds the institutional and civic infrastructure of the communities we serve.
